The Opera House of Paris was ordered by Napoleon III and built in the 1870s by the architect Charles Garnier in the Neo Baroque style. It is one of the most iconic opera houses in the world. Although most of the Paris Opera’s productions now take place in the larger and more modern Opéra Bastille, there is a special place in the heart of Parisians for this older theatre, which was the setting of the book (and musical, and films) of The Phantom of the Opera, and it is still in use for shows and ballets. This place is a true hidden gem in Paris, with his dazzling building frequently called an architectural masterpiece and considered one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world.

Unleash the hidden secrets..

Your tour will start off with the amazing rotunda facing the gorgeous Bassin de la Pythie. Beyond the Pythia you will proceed to the Grand Stairs leading to the Auditorium with the great ceiling painted by Marc Chagall, and the Avant-Foyer covered with Mosaic... simply breathtaking. Finally you will visit the Foyer de la danse.

After having seen the most secret places of the Opéra Garnier you will meet a famous ballet dancer from the Opéra National de Paris. These world-renowned dancers appear in all the greatest pieces of the Repertoire (Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote...).
